Arrive Delhi (By International flight)

Today you arrive at Terminal 3 of New Delhi International Airport. Once you have completed customs and immigration formalities, and collected your baggage, you will spot our representative standing with a placard just as you are about to exit the arrival terminal. Later, transfer to your hotel to spend 02 nights in Delhi. The standard check-in time is 1400 Hrs. Remaining day will be at leisure

Within Delhi

Your day will commence with the visit of Jama Masjid, is one of the largest mosques in India. Built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan, the mosque represents the pinnacle of Mughal architecture. Later, explore the streets of colorful and bustling Chandni Chowk on a rickshaw (being Sunday, some of the shops remain closed), Known for its historical significance, host of shops, chaos, and delicious local food, Chandni Chowk is counted among the most ancient marketplaces in Old Delhi.

Established back in the seventeenth century by the Indian Mughal ruler, Shah Jahan and drive past to Red Fort, once the heart of the mighty Mughal Empire and later the only extent of their greatly diminished power, is a fascinating monument that tells tales that represent both glory and the gory. Your sightseeing of Old Delhi will wrap-up with the visit of Raj Ghat- where father of the nation was cremated. Free time for lunch (Paid directly by guests).

Discover the Lutyens Delhi or New Delhi, which reflects the legacy the British left behind. New Delhi in contrast, is a city trying to live up to the best of 21st century standards. The tour to Lutyens Delhi will include a drive past the impressive India Gate, the Parliament House and the Rashtrapati Bhawan – the official residence of President of India. Further proceed to visit Humayun’s Tomb, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is an excellent example of Persian and Indian architecture.

The tomb is made with red sandstone along with use of white and black marble. End the tour with a visit to yet another UNESCO site – Qutub Minar, the tallest minaret in India. A classic example of Indo-Islamic architecture, the foundation of the minaret was laid by Qutb-ud-din-Aibak in 1192. It was built to celebrate the victory of Mohammed Ghori over Rajput king Prithviraj Chauhan

Delhi-Agra (By Gatiman Exp 0810-0950Hrs)

Packed breakfast from hotel and in time transfer to railway station to board train for Agra.
Agra, located on the banks of the Yamuna River; this city is truly symbol of Mughal architecture including its pinnacle Taj Mahal. Agra served as the capital of the Mughal Empire until Shahjahan shifted it to Delhi. Agra is famous for its superb inlay work on marble, soapstone by craftsmen, carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather work.

Meeting and assistance on arrival at Agra railway station and proceed to visit, Agra Fort, large 16th century fortress of red sandstone located on the Yamuna River in the historic city of Agra.

It was established by the Mughal emperor Akbar and, in its capacity as both a military base and a royal residence, served as the seat of government when the Mughal capital was in Agra. The structure reflects the architectural grandeur of the Mughal reign in India. The fort complex was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983.

Post lunch visit the symbol of love – Taj Mahal, this UNESCO World Heritage site is a marvel in marble.
Shah Jahan had this glorious mausoleum erected for his beloved wife after her untimely death. It took 22 years and over 20,000 men to build this memorial of love from marble quarried 200 miles away.It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and lovingly referred to as a “teardrop on the cheek of eternity”.

Later, you will be transferred to hotel for an overnight stay.

Agra-Ranthambore (By Surface: 280 Kms / 05 Hrs)

Today, you will be heading to Ranthambore, eroure visit Fatehpur Sikri, built during the second half on the 16th century by the Emperor Akbar, Fatehpur Sikri (the City of Victory) was the capital of the Mughal Empire for only 10 years. This beautifully preserved red sandstone fortified city has spectacular examples of Mughal architecture in the form of temples, palaces, courtyards, and pavilions.

Later, proceed for lunch at local restaurant / hotel in Bharatpur.

Post lunch continue your drive to Ranthambore. Ranthambore National Park is located close to the small and otherwise non-descript town of Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan. It is one of the largest national parks in north and best places to spot tigers in their natural habitat. Surrounded by the craggy hills of the Aravallis, the park also houses an abandoned medieval fort that adds to the mystique of the place. The jungle was once the private hunting ground of the Maharaja of Jaipur but it came under protection of the Project Tiger in 1972.

Apart from the magnificent big cat, the park is home to a variety of mammals and birds such as langurs, Sāmbhar and Chital deer, Nilgai, and barking deer. Avian species including peafowl, jungle fowl, spurfowl, quails, partridge, crested serpent eagles, flycatchers, and woodpeckers abound in the rocky jungles of Ranthambore. There are lakes where you can see crocodiles languorously sunning themselves.

Within Ranthambore

Today take an early morning and afternoon jungle safari into the Ranthambore National Park by canter. Experience the fascinating wildlife of the national park that was once the hunting grounds of the Maharaja of Jaipur.

This is one of the best places to catch sight of a tiger in the wild in Rajasthan. Apart from tigers, there are a variety of deer including Sāmbhar, Chital, barking deer, and Nilgai. There are over 300 species of birds that you can spot here and reptiles like crocodiles. A naturalist will accompany you and help you spot the wildlife.

Ranthambore – Jaipur (By Surface: 160 Kms / 04 Hrs)

After a leisurely breakfast at hotel, in time drive to Jaipur. Jaipur, It evokes the royal family that once ruled the region and that, in 1727, founded what is now called the Old City, or “Pink City” for its trademark building color.

Renowned globally for its coloured gems, the capital city of Rajasthan combines the allure of its ancient history with all the advantages of a metropolis. It is also amongst the most favoured destinations for shopping of locals and foreign tourists alike.

Within Jaipur

In the morning, you will be visiting magnificent Amber Fort, is an extensive palace complex that has been built with pale yellow and pink sandstone, and with white marble.

The fort is divided into four main sections that are graced with their own courtyards. We will ascend the slope up to the fortress by jeeps and then wander through the temple and beautiful palaces inside the walls of the fort. Blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Drive past to Hawa Mahal or “Palace of the Winds, the name is in reference to the clevar cooling system which propagates a gentle breezes through the inner rooms even during the intensive summer. The building original function was to allow women to observe the daily life of the city whilst staying unseen from the street and commoner level

In the afternoon, explore the City Palace, is a building that has preserved the history of the city and is an icon of grandeur. Once you enter the palace all you can do is stand transfixed by its beauty while you soak in the marvelous architecture and the artifacts inside the palace.

City Palace used to be the home for the royal family of Jaipur but later it was divided into two parts; one which contains few courtyards and museums and the other where the royal family still resides. Then visit Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage site, features the world’s largest stone sundial. The observatory was constructed between 1728 -1734. It is the largest observatories among five and best preserved and still running. It is a collection of 19 architectural astronomical instruments.

 
Jaipur-Jodhpur (By Surface:340 Kms/06-07 Hrs)

Travel to your next destination – Jodhpur, the second largest city in Rajasthan is popularly known as the “Blue City”. The name is clearly befitting as most of the architecture – forts, palaces, temples, havelis and even houses are built in vivid shades of blue.

The bustling Sadar Bazaar and, the blue houses of the priestly class. It is the gateway to the Great Indian Thar Desert with scorching temperatures for most part of the year and was once the capital of the state of Marwar (meaning the land of the dead) of princely Rajasthan or Rajputana.

Within Jodhpur

Explore the stunning Mehrangarh Fort, Its holds the pride of place in Jodhpur because of its splendid architecture and the diverse history associated with it. Considered as one of the most formidable and magnificent forts of Rajasthan, Mehrangarh fort was built by Rao Jodha in the year 1459.

The intricate carvings on the walls of the fort, the sprawling courtyards, its impressive history, striking palaces, museums and galleries allure tourists from all over the world. Continue to visit Jaswant Thada, Built in the 19th century in white marble, the royal mausoleum of Jaswant Thada is a classic example of the Rajputana architecture which brilliantly assimilates Hindu and Mughal styles.

End up your day followed by a visit to the Sadar Bazaar, the vibrant market is close to the clock tower, which is a popular landmark in the old city and narrow alleys lead from here to a bazaar selling vegetables, spices, Indian sweets, textiles, silver and handicrafts. It is a great place to ramble around at leisure.

Head out on local jeeps to the Bishnoi village located in the outskirts of Jodhpur for a slice of the life and times of India’s original eco-warriors. Bishnois are well known lovers of nature and staunch environmentalists. In the year 1730, 363 Bishnois sacrificed their lives while trying to peacefully protect a grove of trees they considered sacred.

 
Jodhpur-Udaipur (By Surface: 260 Kms/06 Hrs)

Drive towards the Udaipur enroute Ranakpur Jain Temple, acclaimed world-wide for their intricate and superb architectural style. Built in the 15th century, Ranakpur temples are known for being the largest and most important temples of the Jain cult. The temple complex is positioned in an isolated valley on the western side of the Aravalli Range. The Jain Temples of Ranakpur are certainly creditable for their splendid architecture.

(Note: Temples open at 1200 hrs, leather belts, footwear, bare legs and black clothing are not allowed).

Continue your journey to Udaipur, the “City of Lakes” and “Venice of the East” are just a few of the names with which Udaipur is often referred. Udaipur presents a historical spectacle which is sure to spellbind every visitor with its unequivocal architectural beauty and hypnotic cultural vibrancy.

Located in the state of Rajasthan, on the southern side of the majestic Aravalli hills, this city attracts travellers from all over the world.Historically the city of Udaipur was also the capital of Mewar Kingdom, after it was founded in 1553 by the Maharana Udai Singh II.

The palaces, grand gardens, museums and cultural shows present a glimpse of its rich past, while lakes and surrounding hills soothes your soul and promise a refreshing stay.

Within Udaipur

Visit the iconic City Palace, is the largest palace complex of the state and one of the architectural wonders of Rajasthan. It stands magnificently on the eastern banks of Lake Pichola. Flanked by the Aravali mountain range, City Palace is worth admiring for its natural settings that offer a breathtaking view of the surroundings.

City Palace boasts of the wonderful blend of Medieval, European and Chinese Architecture. The Palace has various towers, domes and arches, which add to the flavor of heritage site. City Palace is truly a feast to the eyes.

City Palace is a marvelous assortment of courtyards, pavilions, terraces, corridors, rooms and hanging gardens. Encircled by fortifications, this imposing Palace is wholly built in granite and marble.

Wonder down to the Jagdish Temple, it is one of the largest temple of Lord Vishnu. Earlier it was known as the temple of “Jagannath Rai”, one of the 1000 names of God Vishnu.

The three-storied temple is built on raised platform flaunting magnificently carved pillars, huge airy halls and painted walls that are adorned with vibrant colors and intricately decorated ceilings. Heading towards Saheliyon ki Bari, also known as “Garden of Maidens”, it was built for women.

It is a marvelous wonder of nature and its beauty designed with utmost care and perfection. The garden offers mesmerizing views of handsomely carved marble pavilions, kiosks in the pool, lotus pond and rain fountains.

Later, enjoy the Boat ride on Lake Pichola (sharing basis), named after the nearby village Picholi, Lake Pichola is one of the most famous attraction of the city. Surrounded by islands, palaces, temples, mansions, ghats and restaurants, Lake Pichola offers dazzling views.
