At the heart of the United Arab Emirates lies the futuristic city of Dubai.

Dubai is home to a range of glittering skyscrapers - including the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world - as well as gorgeous stretches of beach, the man-made Palm Jumeriah, gigantic shopping malls and bustling souks, overflowing with spices, gold and silver.

For a bird’s eye view of Dubai, take the high speed elevator to the Burj Khalifa’s observation decks. Take in the impressive cityscape, plus views of the desert and beaches.

To see the more traditional side of Dubai, head to the Al Fahidi Historical District in Bur Dubai, the oldest part of the city.

Dubai’s neighbour, Abu Dhabi, is the largest of the Emirates. Soak up the sun on one of the white-sand beaches, sand dune in the desert, marvel at the impressive architecture of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, shop at the Trade Center Mall, or spend the day on Yas Island at the Ferrari World theme park, a must for F1 fans.
