Early this morning, collect your breakfast packets and set off by open jeep into Yala National Park. As the sun rises over scrubland, lagoons and forest, look out for elephants moving through the bush, Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Spotted Deer, Mongoose, Peacock , Land Monitor, Wild buffalo, Samba Deer, Jackal, Jungle Fowls, Eagles, Kites, Falcons Pelicans, King fishers, Snakes, Beetle, monkeys and colourful birdlife. With luck, you may spot the park’s most famous resident the Sri Lankan leopard resting in the shade or quietly crossing the track.

After the safari, travel along the beautiful southern coast to Mirissa. Visit Coconut Tree Hill, where tall palms lean towards the turquoise Indian Ocean and create one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic coastal views.
