FLAM, NORWAY
DAY 1
BRUGES, BELGIUM
We set off from home today for a mid-afternoon ferry
to France. Once on the continent we cross into Belgium
where we stop in Bruges with picturesque cobbled
lanes, dreamy canals link and photogenic market
squares lined historic churches.
DAY 5
FLÅM, NORWAY
Situated at the top of the Aurlandsfjord, Flam gives a
magnificent first impression of Norway. This charming
village rests in the shadow of steep cliffs that offer
breathtaking views back across the glassy waters.
DAY 6
STAVANGER, NORWAY
Stavanger’s cobblestoned Old Town is a well-preserved
core of white wooden cottages near an Anglo-
Norman cathedral, the oldest in Norway. Natural
beauty abounds, too, with the nearby Lysefjord and its
impressive Preikestolen (“The Pulpit Rock”) drawing a
steady stream of visitors during the summer.
DAY 7
KRISTIANSAND, NORWAY
The capital of the southern coastal region known as
the Norwegian Riviera, Kristiansand has earned the
nickname “Summer City.” The Gulf Stream keeps
temperatures mild and snow to a minimum. Even with
just a few hours, Kristiansand’s grid layout makes it
simple to get around on foot to explore historic sites
such as Posebyen (the old town). The coastline is
dotted with islands and picturesque fishing villages.
DAY 8
OSLO, NORWAY
Today we arrive in Oslo, Norway’s charming capital city.
It is a vibrant mix of modern architecture and world-
class museums dwelling alongside 10th-century Viking
history.
DAY 9
LEISURE AT SEA
There is plenty of time today to acquaint yourself with
your cruise ship whilst spending a day at sea. There’s
lots going on for you to join in with or you can perfect
the act of doing absolutely nothing.
DAY 10
YPRES, BELGIUM
After disembarking Koningsdam in Amsterdamwe
re-board the Land Cruiser. We return to Belgiumwhere
we stay overnight in Ypres where you can attend The
Last Post ceremony, performed every night at 8pm
underneath the imposing Menin Gate.
DAY 11
BELGIUM TO THE UK
After a morning in Ypres we head to Dunkirk for the late
afternoon ferry to Dover. After clearing the port we will
begin to say our goodbyes as we head back north.
DAY 2
GHENT, BELGIUM
Leaving the hotel after breakfast our first stop of the
day is Ghent, one of Europe’s greatest discoveries
– small enough to feel cosy but big enough to stay
vibrant. This is a city you really won’t want to miss.
We stay overnight near Amsterdamwith an included
evening excursion in to the city.
DAY 3
EMBARK ON SHIP
After breakfast we make our way to Amsterdam.
Join us this morning on an included canal cruise and
a visit to one of Amsterdam’s world famous diamond
polishing houses. Later you will board Koningsdam
before she sails late this afternoon.
DAY 4
LEISURE AT SEA
A day at sea for you to make the most of the fabulous
facilities and activities on offer. Shopping, learning to
dance, relaxing by the pool, a trip to the spa, perhaps
a quiz.
