Day 4: Tallinn, Estonia

Because of its strategic location between St. Petersburg and Stockholm, foreign powers fought over Tallinn for centuries. Somehow, many of the city´s architectural treasures were preserved. Don´t miss the 13th-century Toompea Castle, whose hallowed halls are said to be haunted by the ghost of Kalev the Giant, the mythological ancestor of Estonia. First established in the early medieval era, today’s Tallinn is an exciting mix of old and new.

Day 5: St. Petersburg, Russia (overnight in port)

Get ready for an overnight in port in one of the world’s most beautiful cities. St. Petersburg has all the ingredients for an unforgettable travel experience. Peter the Great´s sparkling ´Window on Europe´ was built to showcase the enormous wealth of the czars: the Summer Palace, the St. Peter and Paul Fortress - and the rooms of the Hermitage, which house one of the world´s greatest collections of art.

Day 6: St. Petersburg, Russia

Saint Petersburg is a city located on the Neva River at the head of the Gulf of Finland on the Baltic Sea. Saint Petersburg has no skyscrapers and a relatively low skyline. Current regulations forbid construction of high buildings in the city centre. In Saint Petersburg the historic architecture of the city centre, mostly consisting of Baroque and neoclassical buildings of the 18th and 19th centuries, has been largely preserved.

Day 7: Helsinki, Finland

The Finns are justly proud of their architectural heritage. Their capital presents a kaleidoscope of romantic, neo-classical, baroque and ultra-modern buildings in a symphony that could have been written by Sibelius himself. Visit the great Upenski Cathedral and the amazing Tempeliaukia church, carved out of rock. Then browse in the colourful market square, where you´ll find crafts and produce from villages all over Finland.

Day 8: Stockholm, Sweden

Stockholm’s good looks and fashion sense could almost be intimidating. The nickname, “Venice of the North,” hardly does justice to Stockholm´s uniquely beautiful natural setting. Lovely islands are laced by an intricate system of waterways and bridges, strung between a freshwater lake and the sea. Gabled houses lean out over alleys in the old town, while just blocks away a magnificent 17th-century palace overlooks the wide harbour.

Day 9: Relaxing Day at Sea

Get ready for another relaxing day at sea giving you the chance to make the most of the fabulous facilities and activities on offer. Shopping, learning to dance, relaxing by the pool, a trip to the spa, perhaps a quiz, 678 Ocean Place. Maybe a quick trip to the gym? Definitely tomorrow! Whatever you fancy doing there’s plenty of space for you to be as energetic or chilled out as you like aboard the fabulous Norwegian Getaway.

Day 10: Copenhagen, Denmark

Copenhagen has a lot more to offer. With a history that dates back to 1043 the city is full of historic landmarks, significant buildings and interesting sights and museums. Be sure to visit Amalienborg Palace – home to the royal family - and walk down the shopping street Strøget. Copenhagen has attractions and sights to suit every taste and interest – and most of them are within walking distance. Make sure you see a few before your flight home.
